Orphaned Bear Cubs Reunited – May 19, 2017

Together again! These three little bears lost their mother. When the MNRF Peterborough District personal attempted to catch the cubs, one little guy ran away. Everyone was concerned knowing the little cub had little chance of survival. Wisely, the MNRF staff left a live trap under the tree where the other two cubs had been before they were captured for a trip to Bear With Us, May 14. Yesterday morning the third sibling was caught and last night the little guy was reunited with his brothers. All are males. The cub on the right with the very wide eyes and scared look is the cub that wandered around alone the last 5 days. Again we thank Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry personal. – Mike McIntosh
